With increased Kayak/paddleboard etc. use ad even more resticted access has the club approached landowners regarding some limited access to parts of the river?, Nine miles of river and closer to 900 yards of limited access access, very little seclusion and the better bits shared with the above! As a pensioner and devoted river angler my club fees have risen and my river access and quality has shrunk! When I was younger I walked miles down the river ,that is no longer an option! I used to love the stretch downstream of the gaps at chislet we used to access it by train to chislet halt and trundle down to the river.!

I understand river anglers are a dying breed, but when we are gone that means more friends of the river will be leaving the river wide open to yet more environmental abuse .
