Grove Lake

​Grove Lake is a pleasant, well landscaped fishery situated just off Grove Road close to Wickhambreaux.

​The approach is down a long, gravelled track leading down to our 3 car parking areas.

​The gate at the top of the track is to be kept shut but not locked. The three gates giving access to our car parking must be kept shut and locked.

The lake is fairly shallow, up to 5ft max and contains a good head of carp, specimen roach, rudd, tench and gudgeon.​

Access to the track that leads to the lake is via Grove Road, 1.5 miles north of Wickhambreaux & 1 mile south of Grove.

Sign in at Grove

Please note, as of 30 July 2025 you must sign in before fishing at Grove Lake and sign out when leaving (you will also need your membership number). The book is located in a cabinet hanging in the toilet which is located at the left hand end of the lake.​​

Byelaws for Grove Lake​​

  • Only float fishing is permitted. Float fishing is defined as split shot only, no ledger’s, feeders or Polaris style ledger floats.

  • Surface fishing is permitted using a free running controller float, fixed suspender floats relying on a fixed ledger are not permitted.

  • Please fish only from designated, pegged swims.

  • Tackle to be balanced and appropriate to the mixed nature of the fishery. Hooks must be barbless.

  • Landing nets must be capable of landing medium sized carp. You must use an unhooking mat at all times.

  • No keep nets allowed.

  • No night fishing.

  • Boilies are not permitted at this venue.

  • All pellets must be of the ‘coarse’ variety, no trout, halibut or other high fish oil pellets may be used.

  • Take your litter home.

  • Ground bait is limited to a maximum of 2kg per angler per day.

  • Dip all nets etc in the dip tanks provided for a minimum of 15 minutes before fishing.
